年中慶如果用字面去翻，雖然翻出來是英文，但在英語裏根本沒有什麼"Sale of middle year"這種寫法@@"
較接近中文意思的英語是＝Summer Sale
如果把一年剪成一半，中間就是接近夏天了，正好是百貨業者準備換季的好時機，在美國就是叫 Summer Sale
